Full Time, Day Shift, M-F 8-5 1/6 weekend

  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Education
      • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing; a baccalaureate degree in nursing is required. Must be licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in the state where practicing. Clinical experience specific to acute care hospital practice.
    • Experience
      • Must have three to five years of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting. Two years of experience must be in the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room, or Operating Room with direct patient care. Demonstrate a strong history of collaborative work with multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate effectively with physicians including managing schedules and day to day operations of a busy surgical schedule. Must also have working knowledge of utilization review processes, clinical documentation, and professional billing.

      • Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Distinguishes smells. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguishes temperatures by touch and proximity. Frequent exposure to fumes, odors, waters. Uses computer, typewriter, slide projector, overhead projector, VCR/TV, copy machine, fax, calculator, telephone. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching. Lifting and carrying up to 10lbs, Pushing/Pulling up to 30 lbs. Exposure to biological hazards.
  • JOB SUMMARY
      • Assistant Director for Surgicalists will serve under the Director-Hospital Physicians and Care Management. They will be in charge of managing the day-to-day schedules and work load of our acute care surgeons. They job will be full time M-F with 1 in 6 weekends. They will need to collaborate closely with the team from Jonesboro Surgery Associates for scheduling and follow-ups. They will need to be able to scribe and initiate documentation as needed. They will need to perform basic assistance with surgical needs (dressing changes, drain removal, etc.). They would need to be willing to go to the OR as needed.
      • This is a leadership position within the Hospital Based Physicians Program. Providing assistance and support to Director-Hospital Physicians and Care Management with day-to-day operations of entire program will be required. Assuring appropriate clinical documentation within the team in addition to utilization review will also be required.
