- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education
- Skill and proficiency in applying the principles, concepts and techniques, which are central to the nursing profession. Knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients appropriate to the patient’s age. ADN acceptable. Registry eligible passing registration exam in the first 6 months of employment.
- Experience
- Minimum of three-five years clinical experience. Knowledge of hospital, department, and patient care policies and procedures, ability to develop expertise in new areas and programs.

- Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. Lifting, carrying up to 100 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing and reaching.
- JOB SUMMARY
- Collects and submits accurate, complete, and timely data to MBSAQIP Data Registry Platform. Responsible for high quality data compilation, documentation and entry of 100% of metabolic and bariatric procedures performed at the Medical Center into the MBSAQIP Data Registry Platform. Works closely with the members of the Metabolic & Bariatric and general surgery departments to identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement and other special projects that may be identified. Responsible for coordinating, assessing, analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the patients Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery patient. Develops and presents educational programs for the participants, staff, and community; monitors and analyzes data in order to achieve optimal clinical, financial, and safety outcomes, utilization, and service.
