  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Education
      • Graduate of a School of Practical Nursing or equivalent practical nurse program.
    • Experience
      • One (1) year nursing experience. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to and communicate with the geriatric and adult populations, and to a lesser degree, pediatric populations. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Proficient in nursing skills and documentation. Must be professional, self-assured, courteous, poised, and versatile. Must possess good organizational and communication skills. Willing to accept responsibilities, and work with other Home Health team members. Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of Arkansas. Current CPR certification. Must have reliable transportation, current Arkansas drivers license, and automobile liability insurance.

      • Involves being inside and outside. Exposure to temperatures 32 degrees and less and 100 degrees or more, fumes, dust, and noise. Potential for exposure to environmental hazards, such as exposure to pests. Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Hearing within normal range. Normal/corrected eyesight with close eye work. Frequent sitting, stooping, standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling up to 250 pounds, carrying up to 35 pounds, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Must be able to use a variety of equipment including phone, computer, fax, and medical equipment. Willing/able to drive in most weather conditions. Willing/able to drive at night.
  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Responsible for conducting self in a professional manner to provide therapeutic care and personal care of patients under the direction and guidance of the registered nurse. The Home Health LPN will care for patients with varied diagnoses and ages. Visits require routine skilled care such as dressing changes, wound care, urinary catheter changes, venipunctures for laboratory specimens, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as permitted by policy, virtual visits, teaching, simple assessments, peripheral IV insertion, IV antibiotic therapy, IV hydration, ostomy care, negative pressure wound therapy (wound vac), tracheostomy care, fingerstick blood glucose, suture/staple removal, etc.
