Full Time, Day Shift, 7a-3p

Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years of age or older

Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred (e.g., healthcare informatics, data science, or a related field, will consider Associate degree RN if appropriate number of years of applicable experience for CVICU or CVOR is fulfilled).
 
Experience: Must hold a background in CV surgery. Ideally a RN with greater than 2 years of CVICU or CVOR experience. Must be licensed to practice in the State of AR and be in good standing with the ASBN. Strong understanding of data collection, management, and analysis principles. Experience with data reporting requirements and regulations (e.g., STS accreditation). Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 
Physical: Sit, stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop or crouch, hand/wrist use, talk,see, and hear for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. This is a safety sensitive position. 
 
Job Summary:
A Program Manager and Data Abstractor within the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) will be responsible for overseeing the collection, validation, and analysis of data related to cardiothoracic surgical practices and outcomes. This role would involve ensuring compliance with STS data reporting requirements, developing and implementing data collection processes, and providing data-driven insights to improve patient care and surgical practices. Reports directly to the VP of Patient Services. Quality review is set by the STS PCM and Data Base Abstractor monthly for debrief with the Anesthesia and CV Surgeons. The STS Program Manager and Data Abstractor are a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of data-driven decision-making within the field of cardiothoracic surgery and as it relates to process and quality improvement to position SBMC CV program to be a 3-Star rated program.
